Mike Devlin
From an early age I have taken part in, then instructed and guided in all Paddlesport disciplines as well as a wide range of outdoor sports, from mountaineering, rock climbing, downhill and cross country skiing, and caving. Over the years I have paddled and travelled the rivers and mountains of Europe, North America, Canada and the South Atlantic. Working with young people, using the outdoors as both a learning and development platform, I have led trips to the Himalaya, Africa, Norway, North America, Svalbard, the Falkland Islands and the Antarctic Peninsula.
Inspiration and Play
I now spend my time between Italy and Scotland, in winter and summer respectively. Enjoying the hills, islands, skiing, paddling and biking as weather and mood takes me.
Andy Hall
Climbing, then teaching, has led me around the mountain areas of Britain, latterly spending 20 years as head teacher in an outdoor education centre in North Wales. Expeditions have taken me from ski touring in Alaska, first kayak descents in Nepal and Peru, to waveskiing in Oz.
Now I spend my time ski teaching in Italy in winter and guiding on Scotland’s mountains, coasts and rivers year round.
Inspirations and Play
Where the flow and the seasons take me: 750 kms of Canadian Arctic river and seeing no one else but my companions; skiing powder in the Caucasus or backpacking with my wife in Patagonia. But where do I spend most of my time? Scotland, and in Scotland – the Cairngorms! I’m a very lucky man!
