Equal Adventure at Loch Insh Outdoor Centre
IncInclusive Paddlesports Club
Adventure belongs on the water too.
At Equal Adventure, we believe time on the water should feel possible, welcoming and enjoyable for everyone. The Inclusive Paddlesports Club is our way of making that happen.
Delivered at Loch Insh Outdoor Centre, this is a warm, recurring space where people can enjoy kayaking, canoeing and paddleboarding in ways that work for them. It’s for people who love being outdoors, people who are curious about watersports, and people who want a calmer, more supportive way to take part.
This programme is about creating access that lasts — not one-off experiences, but a place people can return to, build confidence, and feel part of a community.
What is the Inclusive Paddlesports Club?
It’s more than a paddling session.
Each session becomes an Equal Adventure Hub by the water — a place to:
- Try paddlesports in a calm, supportive environment
- Move at your own pace
- Spend time with others and feel part of a community
- Build confidence through small, meaningful experiences
We use the idea of microadventures — gentle steps that grow over time — focusing on what’s possible, not on labels or limits.
Who is it for?
The Inclusive Paddlesports Club is currently designed for:
- Young people aged 15+ and adults
- People who want a more relaxed, supportive way to enjoy watersports
- Those new to paddlesports or returning after a break
- Anyone who enjoys being on or near the water
No experience needed.
No expectation to push yourself.
You choose how you take part.
Carers, families and support workers are always welcome.
We are actively working towards developing additional dedicated sessions for younger participants in the future.
What to Expect
A relaxed, friendly session where:
- Supportive instructors are always nearby
- Stable and adaptable equipment is available if needed
- You can paddle, watch, chat or take a break
- Everyone is encouraged in their own way
Some people come to paddle.
Some come to watch first.
Both are completely okay.
